Duplicate content is usually not done with intent to harm or in a malicious manner, but it is still an item which website owners should avoid. While it may not seem like a big deal, search engines frown upon the use of duplicate content.

The meaning is pretty simple to figure out, but here are some specifics. Duplicate content is a block of content which is very similar or the same that is contained on two or more domains. It can also include the similar or the same articles being displayed on your website in two different areas.
