You want to market your business, thatís what you use Twitter for, but you also do not want to drive your followers away. You should not post the same information in the same day even if you change up the words a little. People are smart and they will start to ignore your updates.

When you are marketing your business on Twitter, never directly ask for business. This may seem out there considering you are marketing, but you have to remember where exactly you are marketing. When you post tweets on Twitter, make sure that they make sense, are relevant are important. You want to avoid telling people things that they will probably have no interest in such as how to order paper for their business. You want to stick to interesting things such as letting your followers know that you just posted important new information on your website.

While the bulk of your Twitter posts should be business related, do not become a marketing robot on Twitter. Involve yourself in a professional manner, but also act personable and easy to get along with. People will want to know about your business, but they want to know more than just what you are doing with your business.

Lastly, never engage in a conversation with one of your followers in an unprofessional manner. As stated above, you do want to be personable but do not over do it. This person may be your customer or a potential customer and you do not want to end up offending the person with a chat or post that they may not find as humorous as you do.

By avoiding these items when marketing your business on Twitter, you will continue to gain followers your business will continue to grow. If you do find yourself caught up in these items to avoid, stop immediately you may start losing followers business.
